Accounts

How do I create an account?

Go to Get started, enter your name, email and a password, and tell us what brings you here. Your plan is ready as soon as you finish.

I forgot my password. What should I do?

On the sign in page, choose “Forgot password?” and enter your email or username. We will send you a link to choose a new password.

Can I use Gracekeeps on my phone?

Yes. Gracekeeps works in any modern browser on phones, tablets and computers. You can add it to your home screen so it opens like an app.

How do I invite a family member?

From your plan, choose to invite someone and enter their email. They create their own login, and you decide what they can see.

I have an access code. Where do I enter it?

Enter it when you create your account. If you already have an account, sign in and visit the Get started page to apply it.

How do I close my account?

Ask in the app or contact us. We will confirm the request and delete your information, except anything the law requires us to keep.

Privacy and security

Who can see my information?

You, the family members you invite (only what you share with them) and your care specialist when helping you. Employers and insurers see only anonymous totals.

Do you sell my data?

No. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

How are my documents protected?

Documents are encrypted in transit and at rest, stored privately and reachable only through checked, short-lived links. Read more on our security page.

Not from us. Employers see totals across their whole program. They never see names, notes, messages or documents.

Can I download a copy of my information?

Yes. You can export your information at any time, or ask us to help.

Care specialists

What does a care specialist do?

They help you understand your plan, find documents and services, prepare for calls, draft letters and forms, and decide what can wait. Read more about care specialists.

When are care specialists available?

Care specialists work Weekdays, 9 am to 6 pm Eastern Time. You can message any time, and our goal is a first reply within 24 hours.

Can my care specialist give legal or medical advice?

No. Care specialists are not lawyers, doctors, therapists or financial advisors. They will tell you when you need one and help you prepare.

What languages do care specialists speak?

Today, English. Spanish support is next on our plan, and we will announce each new language when it is available.

Is Gracekeeps a crisis service?

No. In the US, if you are in crisis, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline at any hour. In an emergency, call 911.

Loss Care

Someone just died. What should I do first?

Start with our guide, what to do when someone dies. Loss Care turns it into a personal plan for your situation.

How does the benefits finder work?

You answer questions about the person who died. Loss Care lists benefits and claims to look into, such as Social Security, VA, life insurance, pensions and employer benefits, with what you need for each.

What are the closing letters?

Ready-to-send letters for banks, utilities and subscriptions. Loss Care fills in the details, and you review, sign and send them.

Can I make a memorial page?

Yes. Every plan includes a memorial page where you can share a life story and service details, and friends can leave notes in a guestbook.

Legacy

Will Legacy write my will?

Legacy helps you create a guided draft. To become valid, it must be signed and witnessed the way your state requires, or finished with an attorney. Gracekeeps does not give legal advice.

What is a trusted contact?

Someone you choose to receive access to certain documents and notes after we verify your death. They see nothing before then.

Can I plan together with my partner?

Yes. Couples planning lets you work side by side, with shared and private sections.

Caregiving

Who can join my care circle?

Anyone you invite: family, friends or neighbors. You choose what each person can see and do.

Can I print a report for the doctor?

Yes. The tracker can produce a printable summary of mood, symptoms and medications over the period you choose. Printable reports are included on Plus and on plans offered by organizations.

Does Gracekeeps arrange in-home care?

No. The local services finder helps you find and compare providers, and your care specialist can help you prepare questions. We do not provide care ourselves.

Bereavement, caregiving, medical and parental leave.

My leave changed from one type to another. Do I start over?
